New Merrion House

The scheme includes the refurbishment and extension to Merrion House within the heart of Leeds to provide additional office space and a new one stop shop for all main services for Leeds City Council.

The office which will accommodate up to 2,000 staff relocated from four key city centre offices is estimated to bring about savings of more than £15 million over 25 years.

Optima were appointed by Town Centre Securities Plc to prepare a Transport Statement which considered the key implications of the development including traffic generation, servicing, access, car parking demand and sustainability.

A bespoke Travel Plan was also produced for the Council in accordance with the Leeds City Councils Corporate Travel Plan.
